Ballroom & Latin

Due to international naming convention, the term 'Ballroom' is reserved for what we call in Dutch 'Stijldansen'. This includes standard ballroom and latin. Whenever we use the word 'ballroom', we thus mean the combination of standard ballroom and latin.

Every Tuesday evening, 4 happy feet offers ballroom lessons of various different levels. The beginners class is taught by our enthusiastic teacher Frank Halfwerk. Professional instructor Gert Rickhoff takes care of the higher levels. The lessons on Tuesday are provided in Dutch. On Monday there is an additional ballroom beginners or ballroom D level, which is taught in English by teachers Hein Rödel and Hannah Volbeda.

During all lessons, the teachers are assisted by the Instruction Committee, consisting of experienced members. In the ballroom D classes, you will learn the basics of six different dances: slow waltz, tango, quickstep, cha cha, rumba and jive. During the ballroom C lessons, this list will be enriched by the slowfox, viennese waltz, paso doble and samba. In higher classes, you will learn more figures and pay more attention to technique. The lesson schedule is provided below. Note that the required experience is merely an indication. If you are not sure which level suits your dancing skills, just drop by and the teachers and the Instruction Committee will help you out.
